Well-being

Mental Health and Wellness

York University promotes a healthy, inclusive and supportive environment that fosters mental health and well-being among members of the York community.

Through a variety of education, training and awareness events, York University’s Mental Health and Wellness committee strives to promote a more holistic and integrated approach to campus health that supports academic excellence, employee satisfaction and productivity, as well as the overall success of all York community members.

Health and Dental Services

The Appletree Medical Centre has doctors and nurses on staff to assist with any non-emergency illness. The York Lanes Dental Office provides a full suite of dental services to patients.

Health Education

Through the Health Education & Promotion unit, a professional health educator is available to students for individual information about health-related needs. The health educator can help answer questions or find appropriate resources. All services are entirely confidential.

York also offers a Peer Health Team that serves to educate and support you with any health-related issues you might have, including sexual health and addictions.
