At university you can explore your interests, inside and outside of the classroom.

Orientation Week
Welcome Week is a great chance for you to familiarize yourself with the campus, meet new people and build connections before class begins, whether you live on or off campus. Past activities have included tours, concerts, residence events and faculty events.

General Clubs
Windsor has more than 100 student clubs, organizations and academic societies. There is something for everyone.

Student Union
Your student union plays an important role at university. At Windsor there are 3 unions to represent all students:
- University of Windsor Students’ Alliance – advocates on behalf of
full-time undergraduate students on campus and in the community. - Organization of Part-time Students – represents part-time students’ interests.
- Graduate Student Society – represents graduate students’ interests.
Athletics
Varsity Athletics
Windsor is home to the Windsor Lancers varsity sports that range from curling, football and golf to soccer and track and field. The Lancers participate in both Ontario University Athletics and Canadian Interuniversity Sport.

Recreation and Intramurals
Windsor offers recreational sports and leagues that you can participate in, regardless of your skill level. Recreational sports include co-ed basketball, inner tube water polo and floor hockey. Joining a team is a great way to meet other people and stay active, whether you are continuing to play a sport or starting a new one.

The UWindsor PRIDE Campaign
The UWindsor PRIDE Campaign is run by the UWindsor PRIDE Committee, a collection of faculty, staff and students in the Windsor community.
The committee is made up of 2SLGBTQIA+ folks and accomplices. The committee works to foster social, academic and personal growth for all individuals, through support, awareness, promotion and education regarding 2SLGBTQ+ issues, rights and experiences.
Multi-Faith Space
Windsor’s Multi-Faith Space is intended to serve all students, staff and faculty. The space supports the diversity of the university community.
Child Care
Child care is available at the Great Beginnings Child-Centered Cooperative. It operates a preschool program designed to provide positive learning experiences to children who are 16 months to 6 years old.
Security
The Campus Community Police, working in partnership with the university community, provides a safe and secure environment to study, work and live.
