Wellness in mind, body and spirit is important to your success at university.

University of Ottawa Health Services (UOHS) is staffed by trained service providers (family physicians, personal counsellors, registered nurses, psychologists, psychiatrists and wellness educators).

This section describes some of the services available to you through UOHS.

Health Services

UOHS offers health services in the areas of:

  • family medicine,
  • specialty medicine,
  • physiotherapy,
  • psychiatry and
  • other services.

uOttawa’s health and medical team includes a:

  • nurse practitioner,
  • registered nurse,
  • mental health counsellor,
  • dietitian,
  • social worker and
  • psychiatrist.

Counselling Service

Students sometimes experience setbacks or face roadblocks to their personal or academic success and can find it difficult to ask for help.

Contact the staff at Counselling Service if you are feeling lost, facing a problem you do not know how to handle or wishing you could talk to someone in a safe place.
