Laurentian provides the information you need to decide whether you should apply for residence or look for off-campus housing. If you live off campus, you will also get information about public transportation options and parking services to help you with your commute.

Housing

On Campus

Laurentian offers 8 types of residence with different accommodation styles and floor layouts.

These include:

  • Dorms
  • Shared or single rooms
  • Apartments
  • A Mature Student Residence that houses mature and upper-year students

Residence Life

You can usually find something going on in residence. You will meet and make friends with students with diverse backgrounds, experiences, perspectives, values and interests. You will be invited to participate in social activities, cultural events and educational programs. Residence life is about finding the right balance for you to support your personal and academic goals, and your health and well-being.

Meal Plans

Whether you live in residence or off campus, finding a place to eat is made easier with the university’s meal plans, which give you access to both on- and off-campus vendors.

Transportation

Public Transportation

Laurentian’s U-Pass gives you unlimited access to the Sudbury Transit system. This unlimited pass is included in your student fees and allows you to use the transit system from September to April.

Parking Services

Visitor parking and parking pay stations are also located on campus.
