Personal Loans and Lines of Credit

If your parents’ household income is too high, the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) may not cover all the costs of university.

In this case, you may want to look into personal bank loans or lines of credit. Most banks provide students with specialized loans that may require someone else to co-sign the loan.

Note: Unlike OSAP, bank loans charge interest immediately after you finish your program.
